Run To Win

After accepting the Invitation to lead worship for "Chapel Service" from the Principle of SMK ACS a month ago, finally the gig was over today.So far, this is a gig which i don’t really have much pressure. My band "Numinous", took a week to listen to 9 songs n did our pratice on our own. So today, we’ve planned to setup our instrument n soundcheck as early as 8am. So after 3 hours of sleep, we got up at 6am n went to Wesley Methodist Church at 7am, but badnews..the church’s mixer had sent for repair..bt nvm coz they’ve promise wil make sure the mixer is gonna b back by 10am +…So 1015am, as we were practising the vocals..more n more senior Citizen came into the Sanctuary, Guess wat ?! they told us, there wil b a FUNERAL SERVICE @ 1030am..great! in beginning,no mixer now there’s a Funeral service starting..No sound check, no practice..so everythin is delayed til 1140am, it means we gotta sound check(thank God the mixer is back) and run thru 9 songs without practice in 30mins..My goodness, but was ok it didnt really stir-up my anger or anything juz a lil worry. Simply bcoz this gig, im nt planning to do it like a concert style but rather a simple praise n worship, main objective was nt to stir up the "Hype" thinggy among the Students but allowing them 2b comfortable wit the culture of their respective denomination in worship.

This gig was kinda blessed my heart..coz usually the 1st few rows are the ones whom got really "hyped up" n passionate in worshippin  but today, the people whom sings the songs passionately n expressing emselves to God are majority from the middle rows onwards..wow is simply amazing..seeing them for their 1st time lifting their hands in worshipping Jesus..

Technically: We’ve made Dozens of Mistakes, but the band was still tight overall, After gigging for few Big events,we’re sort of relax over the mistakes we made during "live", no panic ladies n gentlemen..lolz..haha..As i look back wat happen today, "I wonder are we crazy?!" gig without practice, man..thts either u called it courages or stupid lolz. There’s some of the people from my own youth group was expecting the music we’re gonna play is gonna b like those really heavy n rocking once.."we knew they gonna expect tht" but too bad im nt gonna make myself look like an idiot up there try to get the crowd jumping(changing the culture of youths from diff denomination) like wat I did last year..lolz..so thts why, the songs we chose wasnt tht Upbeat..coz we wanna cater to youths from different denomination..is kinda fun u knw?uve no worries whether will the crowd jump or dont jump..and stuff like tht..and it doesnt requires much energy n stamina.

For the time being, BACK TO BOOKS n meet STPM face to face in 20 over days time. After this examination, will b going all out to Improve on My guitaring skills,Vocals, building my stamina, write songs,n so on !..Yea, YAN9 Xmas Gig (ONE) in AGAPE !

…juz finished doin my revision…

i realised..im so behind schedule, really need God’s grace n mercy to go sit for my STPM. So little time for me to memorize all the things tht requires me to memorize.My goodness, u knw..I’m nt really good at memorizing..*weak brains* haha At the same time im wondering Izzit a mistake of agreeing to play for the whole month of October for sunday worship instead of November(the exam month)…

Serving tomorrow..so whole day will b at church. Gotta practice for next sunday’s song..Kath is leading so after church tmr got practice somemore. havent even listen to the songs..and most of the song i didnt played b4..pheww..stressout man! gotta listen,find the chords..figure out the rite tones..Oh man! this killing me!

Not finish..next friday..Numinous gigging at ACS Chapel Service ! So more songs practice,gotta memorize lyrics somemore! Pheww..

And now! after checking out the entry requirement for Nottingham University, more stress is pumped into myself –>Three subjects at grade B or above fro STPM..haha

I guess..i really gotta make full use of this 20 over days to do wateva i can ! and unhold it to God. Is good tht i go offline now..and practice my songs for tmr church and for next sunday ones..den depends whether i still got the strength to revise or not.

Haha..My parents wont b in for 2 days..So, thts why tonite Me n My bro really had a great time. As for myself, came back from school this afternoon..Plugged in my Guitar n started rockin..*Numinous Coming Up Gig: ACS CHAPEL SERVICE 21st Oct… Be there or Be square ! Yea, juz confirmed all my songs today den practice whole afternoon till my bro came back from Work.

Its really a challenge this time,imagine typical 90th yr old Methodist Church..wit terrible acoustic (if band plays), n low ends sound system..n DEAD crowd (they dont scream nor Jump)..Last yr i hav a tough time leading em wit real rocking songs..so this yr decided to choose songs tht r much moderate. SO the band wont look so stupid up there.

Anyway,met up with Josh for a drink and Copy the songs to his laptop…He’s such a great guy to hang out with..although he’s only 16..but Cool,mature.share the same passion n vision.thts really great..these r the ppl im looking for..as bandmates..Yea anyway, we borrowed United(look to U) VCD from him. Wow..is really awesome,is like a Value pack..all in 1 VCD..the LIVE scenes…back stage,interviews,the making !..learn lots from it.2 thumps up ! it alwiz amazed me seeing wat God is doin at down under n Wat God is doin amongst the young ppl of Msia thru my life n many many other passion seekers of His heart as well.

Trouble..STPM is 30 over days away..and im so so nt prepare..My goodness !..Gotta really pump up myself..! So..should i go to school tomorrow or not?sigh..

man..im looking forward to the ACS gig man!  Hopefully..Mr Principal will allocate some Rm 400 for renting the sound system..thts my prayer. man! lolz NUMINOUS need Stage monitors!

Thursday Jam @ church.

As usual..We’l b having BAND2 jam Session every thursday(fortnightly)..So juz came back from it. Pheww.was not quite satisfied wit it. coz So many parts of the music which i think the band can improve in.But coz the limited time we have..so..Grrrr !

Anyway! Wont be going to school tomorrow..so will sleep early tonite n get up n revise early in the morning..den probably will drop by the state library juz to get butt down n study for few hours..b4 meeting up with a Student exchange from Belgium. Wat a pity man..he’s living the the host family in one of the saddess part of Seremban (AMPANGAN)..full of..sigh..Seremban Ppl should know! So i guess tomorrow should b a good day..HEre comes the weekend again ! O Shit was suppose to Finish Micro & Macro Economics by saturday..and im no where near finishing..goodness ! STPM is next month man !…and usually weekend are PACKED wit church activities..Bible study,prayer meeting, youth meeting, Sunday celebration service..No way i will compromise God’s time..So..will try to do wateva i can tmr.!

…Another saturday which requires student to go school. But who cares? Im nt gonna let school spoil my sleep n my saturday. Ngek ngek ngek…But this morning got up early coz im inspired by the Angel whom God Sent..So woke up at 9am n did my revision til 1 plus..n get myself ready for youth service…grrr water rationing again..O boy this morning was a Wet Morning..and the paip water was like…from the ice cold mountain. But it was refreshin !

So..as usual..went to church..band practice..yaddda blah blah..But today was interesting..We celebrated Kath n Ck’s birthday..n oso Baldwin n Suzanne’S..Bought em a cake..Oh boy i tell u..sometimes Really pissed off when the front-liners are so Dumb n unalert. Told anonymous(A&B) to get the cake ready once Worship over(b4 collecting offering) but after offering..(Anonymous A&B) was whispering to me from a distance n asking me with tht kind of expression "now ah now ah"..alamak..bengang man! NVM n told anonymous C to announce to the youth n start off with the song..another blur case..still nt as worst yet..i was already damn mang-zhang coz i cant tolerate such slackness from front-liners..Told drummer once annoucement is made..Hit the 4 count to start off wit "Happy BDay song"..But He didnt..Erghhhh So i start off with..Happy birthday with..hair…………i expect the he’ll hit the beat this time..but didnt..Wat the heck is going on man! All slack like shit.! Erghh..If they still don’t learn..im worry for their future when they comes out to work especially in the Corporate world..

Anyway..let’s talk bout something sweet..after havent been catching up wit Hui xin for such long time n knowing tht she’s free tonite..so kinda ask her out for "Tong Sui" though it was an hour of fellowship but ..juz luv chatting wit her..nice gal..awesome chic!

Gotta run now..gotta get up early for church..Yea Band 1 is ON tmr! Man..U;’ve gotta check out their version of FAITH man..Too Creative! lolz
